Teta Hilsdon

Hello, I’m Teta (rhymes with Rita). I love Yoga, and it’s made my life so much better. I’m neither young, nor thin, nor naturally flexible. But Yoga is not just for the young, thing, and flexible! Yoga helps to get us to our best, at whatever age and starting point.

I dabbled in Yoga for many years, but after I broke my back in 2006, I got really serious about daily Yoga practice. It stabilized me, strengthened me, and eased my chronic pain. In 2010 when my teacher, Scott Willis of Hits the Spot Yoga®, offered teacher training, I decided to go deeper. Quickly I discovered that I wanted to share Yoga with others like me who were not going to more challenging classes for people who are already fit.

In my classes, I encourage you to work at your own pace, to stretch but not strain, to look for your own “edge” where the work happens. Working consistently, pushing into that edge gently over a period of time, gives you all the benefits of Yoga, including better balance, more strength and flexibility, more focus and calm. And, very likely, less pain.
